I had a naive plan: finish school, gain experience and eventually know what I was doing.
Reality didn't approve the schedule.
I've barely got used to one AI model when another appears. Faster, more capable, with the subtle suggestion that the method I've just learned now belongs in a history lesson.
I open another tab. I haven't closed the previous twenty yet.
Then I read that scientists are growing living neurons and connecting them to electronics. Experimental biocomputers are using biological cells to process information.
I'm still sorting out my subscriptions, and technology is starting to need a nutrient medium. Apparently I should have paid attention in biology too.
I joke, but the pace can be overwhelming. I run projects, make decisions and take responsibility for results. In between, I learn tools that could soon change how I do my work.
Nobody gives you an extra semester for that.
You can get a lot done all day and still feel behind in the evening. Because someone has just announced another revolution. With the inevitable line: “If you're not using this yet, you're already losing.”
Very supportive. Thanks, internet.
Yet I keep coming back. For the moment when, after several failed attempts, I begin to understand. When an idea I've put off suddenly becomes possible.
I'm learning to choose, too. Which new development deserves an evening. Which to skip. When to close the computer and let my own mind process it all.
At school, I waited for the final bell.
Today, I'd appreciate even a break between updates.
Do you also feel the real learning began once nobody was taking attendance?
